The Best of New Zealand (and the rest of the world)

The Wedding Whisperer travels internationally to choose which gowns to stock for the new season. This year, convinced that nothing we were seeing from overseas was better than what we are producing locally, we made the decision that all Beautiful Brides’ new season’s gowns will be New Zealand made.

New to the Studio for 2013 are designs from Sophie Voon Bridal [Wellington] & Jessica Bridal [Auckland].

Sophie Voon gowns feature luxurious fabrics, embroidered silks or laces, with a perfectly cut silhouette that flatters the body, completely  opposite from the 'costume' look of some bridal wear. Voon bridal gowns have a vintage feel with a contemporary fashion edge to it. Voon gowns are made in an ethical manner that  does not compromise on quality.  The dresses are available in ethically traded silk and all the wedding dresses are lovingly crafted with care in the Voon workroom in central Wellington. Voon donates $100 from each wedding dress to Empower Asia, a charity  which runs safe houses across Asia providing at risk children a home and education away from the dangers of child prostitution and extreme  poverty.

We don’t want to just sell you a dress, we’re committed to helping you find a wedding gown that perfectly fits your shape, style, and budget.  You can trust us to help with the important choice of wedding accessories - just as the right tie completes the groom’s attire, the right necklace, earrings, hair accessory, tiara or veil, can make all the difference to the overall look of your bridal attire.

We’re glad to advise you on the right length of veil to complement your gown, adding a romantic wrap or a pretty but practical shrug for colder weather, so that you’ll be warm as well as beautiful.
